- 5 card support of partner, strong suit of your own.
- Double(takeout): 4 cards in any unbid major, HCPC 6 or
- more, there is no upper limit to this bid.
- 1H or 1S: 5 card suit and HCPC 6 +. With two 5
- card major suits, bid spades first.
- Double(takeout): 5 cards in any unbid major and as
- little as 3 points (too weak for 1bid).
- 2H or 2S: Competive bids showing 5 card suit and a
- HCPC of 10 or more.
- 2D over 1C: good 6 or near solid 5 card suit, HCPC 12 +.
- 2C over 1D: good 6 or near solid 5 card suit, HCPC 12 +.
- 1H or 1S: 4 card suit, HCPC 6 or more. With two 4
- card major suits and opponent bid diamonds,
- bid hearts first. Must have point in suit bid.
- 2NT: Stoppers in all unbid suits, HCPC 12-14.
- 1D over 1C: 6 card suit, HCPC 7-11.
- 2C over 1C (or 2D over 1D): 4 or more card support
- HCPC 8 or more.
- 1NT: Balanced distribution, HCPC 6-8.
- 2C over 1D: stopper (or long suit) in clubs, HCPC 6 +.
- unable to bid any of the above.
- 3C over 1C (or 3C over 3D) 5 or more card support
- and HCPC less than 8.
